I think i accidentaly left my car battery charging with...?

the instructions I beleive said positive clamp goes to positive terminal on the car battery, and negative clamp goes to engine block or metal chasis, but I think I left it with the negative clamp on the negative terminal

(because htats how i had originally connected it in order to jump start it, and forgot to change it).

When I left no warnings or anything came up on the battery charger. Its a VECTOR 12v battery jumpstarter and charger.I think i accidentaly left my car battery charging with...?There is no problem. Usually when charging a battery you put positive to positive and negative to negative. When you jump start an engine, it's best to put negative to the engine block or metal frame part on the bad vehicle to avoid any possible sparking. But you did it the correct and normal way.I think i accidentaly left my car battery charging with...?OK....What's the question?I think i accidentaly left my car battery charging with...?For future reference, when you jumpstart your car, clamp the negative cable on the chassis as well. Your battery might be fine. Hook it up to the car and see if it works. If it's not leaking and your car starts you should be fine.I think i accidentaly left my car battery charging with...?no problem...neg battery terminal connected to block or metal chassisI think i accidentaly left my car battery charging with...?Should be ok. Negative terminal is connected to metal chasis.I think i accidentaly left my car battery charging with...?Honestly it doesnt matter, thats how I've done it for years. I think the thing they are trying to prevent with connecting the ground to the engine block etc. is the chance of an explosion from a spark igniting gasses off the battery. There are probably other reasons but as long as you hooked the positive to the positive and the negative to the negative your fine.I think i accidentaly left my car battery charging with...?No problem, just recheck the connections and make sure to wear safety glasses around exposive batteries.I think i accidentaly left my car battery charging with...?your fineI think i accidentaly left my car battery charging with...?You did fine, not to worry, all things are good right now.But if your having a problem with starting your car you ought to look into getting your battery checked and your altenator checked, Auto zone or Advance will do this for free.I think i accidentaly left my car battery charging with...?its really not going to hurt it none, its just better if you use a ground point somewhere on the engine or chassis, you probably didn't hurt it this time, basically you just shot a direct charge to it,that's about it,if you was charging it and it in the car it wont hurt it,but its best to disconnect the negative cable from the battery if your going to charge it in the vehicle, good luck with it.I think i accidentaly left my car battery charging with...?It doesn't matter if you connect the negative clamp to the engine block or the battery post. I use the battery post myself. There won't be any problem.
