i changed the battery in my car today and not soon after i went for an emission test and failed obd --i have driven the car more than 300 miles now and the computer has not cleared how long does it take the computer to get back to normal? dodge stratus 2002Car computer?, The dodge PCM holds the code as operation history unless you leave the battery unhooked for at least 2 hours it will not clear,, if it still does not clear then it has to be cleared with a scanner you may have another problem have it checkedCar computer?You have to drive it in different kinds of driving scenarios. 300 miles of highway driving doesn't cut it.

This will tell you what triggered the code and if (could be a gas cap) something needs to be repaired (I think so) Auto Zone does this for free, just let us know the code(s)
