2003 PT Cruiser battery change...?

We're pretty sure it's the battery alone and not the alternator...I know it's labor-intensive (everything including changing spark plugs seems to be).

I have searched and searched and can't find anything that gives detailed instructions on how to replace a battery for my car.

I got jumped off and it died both times, so right now, it's stuck in the parking garage where I work and it would be difficult (if not impossible) to get a tow truck in there if we just had it towed.

PLEASE HELP!!! Detailed instructions copied from a reliable site would be great, OR a link to something.

I'm in a real predicament here. Hubby has to work tonight and it will leave me home alone with a 9 1/2 month old and no car. I have to figure this out so it can get fixed tomorrow...2003 PT Cruiser battery change...?Obviously those who have responded haven't looked under the hood of a PT Cruiser. The battery isn't visible from atop the engine compartment. Replacing the battery is not something for someone of weak heart or short on nerves. This is a job best left to professional automotive mechanics at a Dodge dealership.2003 PT Cruiser battery change...?The best description I have found of how to do this is here:

2003 PT Cruiser battery change...?if you jumped it and it still would not run, it is most likely the alternator. but if you want to change the battery, take it to walmart(or wherever) and ask a salesperson to help you pick the right battery. when you do that, go to your car, open the hood and you should see the battery with two terminals. disconnect the black one (ground)first. then disconnect the positive(red) and change the battery, puting the red wire on first then, the black one.2003 PT Cruiser battery change...?generally all you have to do is unhook the pos and neg cables, pull battery out... you probably have to loosen the battery holder to get it out...if you can get the car to any auto supply store they will change it out for free...
